Janette Gilbert, LCSW

I worked with Janette for over a year and found her to be helpful, until she got involved in my medical care. She then dismissed me, as a result of a medical condition. If you are looking for someone to help you in crisis, then Janette is not your person.

Extremely disappointed with her professionalism. I took my 11 year old daughter here to help with a divorce. She bashes parents to the child during a session which made my child shut down. She asks questions that are confusing for a child to understand and presses the question until she gets an answer. Janette is also awful with communication, taking days to return calls if she returns them at all. We also showed for an appointment in which she was never there for. She said it was her fault but she was out of town that week and must have goofed on scheduling. Not ok when we drive 30 miles to see her. We will not be returning and are on the hunt for a new therapist.

Cancelled due to illness well in advance. Did not hear back from her at all to reschedule. Unprofessional.

Be careful sending your child to her. She asked my son if he had nude pictures on his phone and he did not. She pressured him until he screamed he did not have nudes. He did more damage than helped. He now is getting help and able to talk about how he was tramitized by Janette.

Janette is awesome, she's honest and will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. I find that this approach has helped me in developing tools to deal with the difficulties of life. As a teen I struggled with self harm and depression and she was one of the reasons I was able to face, deal and overcome it. She really values and cares for her clients which is what makes her so great at what she does.

Janette helped my daughter and me through a very difficult time in our lives and she continues to be available any time that we need her. She listens attentively and gives great advice- even when it is not what we want to hear. She helped my daughter get through high school and college. Thank you!

Recently Janette helped me through a very rough time in my life. I had so many stressors going on in my marriage, job, and family. If not for Janette I might still be curled up in a fetal position saying "poor Me". She was tough,,,and right about what needed to happen to get me going forward again. Thank you Janette Myrna 2019

Rude, and dismissive. Her failure to understand the situation at hand and her poor attempts to build comraderie with my daughter by joining her in ridiculing us were extremely detrimental to my daughter's recovery. Janette is out of touch, socially and situationally.
