Janet Haskell, NPC

Janet Haskell and her team are remarkable. We first met her when my wife had a brain biopsy performed by Dr. Sanan. After the surgery we met her again for aftercare to have the staples removed. She is very professional and answered all of our questions. On top of that her staff Leslie Brinton was able to call around to get us an appointment with a urologist on that same day. They went above and beyond to help us out. Amazing group.

Janet has been incredible all throught the process of my surgery and post op. I was blessed that she was part of my team. This surgery changed my life!

Janet was prepared, thorough, friendly, helpful and outlined what treatment I needed and why, and what needed to happen first. She was caring, empathetic, and just excellent. She is definitely a five star!!

Our last visit was on 2-11-25. Janet took the time to go over all of our choices so we coulddetermine if we should do a shunt adjustment. She gave us all the pertinent information sowe could determine if that was the right decision. She is extremely knowledgeable and caring.Without Janet helping us we would be lost. Janet’s MA Leslie is also amazing! She returns calls the same day and handles any situation you give her. I can’t say enough good things aboutthe “team”. Melina always has a smile on her face and accommodates any request for a certain time or date. The best experience we have had is because we are under the care of Janet, Leslie and Melina. They are all the best of the best!!

I first met with Janet Haskell about ten years ago, when the situation needed to be resolved with an L4_L5 laminectomy performed by her surgeon colleague, Dr. Abhay Sanan. The surgery went very well, and I was mostly problem free until about a month ago. After two trips to the ER with back spasms, I needed a treatment plan. Although she works with a fine surgeon, NP Janet Haskell developed a treatment plan that includes getting an MRI and Xrays, referral for physical therapy, continuation of muscle relaxants as needed, and plans to meet me again in 3 months. The entire plan seems logical, and her demeanor was very reassuring. I look forward to following the process to get better.

I would highly recommend Janet Haskell, NP-C, to anyone who might need her services. She is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to listen and to answer all questions. She also took the time to teach and explain things. She was respectful and attentive. Her MA, Leslie Brinton, was very friendly and took the time to find a physical therapy location near my home. I felt that the entire staff at the Center for Neurosciences was very friendly and extremely efficient. They were very respectful of my time which is a hard thing to say for most doctors offices. Jan Haskell NP and her Nurse Leslie Brinton MA are professionals in every sense of the word. They ask relevant questions and more important they listen. I will go further to say their entire office is filled with good people who deliver great service with a smile - really incredible. I was a private practice administrator for 20-years with a busy surgical practice. I know how hard it is to find, train and maintain quality staff. This practice has nailed it. Keep up the great work.

NP Jan Haskell put me at ease immediately. She listened to my concerns and then responded in layman’s terms and was very thorough! She made sure to explain all my options and showed me my images so I would fully understand. Jan is professional, kind and caring. It was obvious she had studied my medical file and images before my appointment. I highly recommend Jan! MA Leslie Brinton is also top notch. She makes sure you have her phone extension so you can contact her with any questions. Dr Sanan is exceptional and obviously only has the best people surrounding him!!!!

Jan is an Excellent and professional NP who goes over everything with you regarding your health. She explains accurately and will answer all of your questions/concerns honestly. Also, very respectful. I highly recommend her.

Janet H is a great health-care professional. She is thorough, attentive, and truly cares about her patients. She explained to me what was going on with my skull and went out of her way to help with another problem I have . Her assistant, Leslie B, is also great . Leslie pays attention to every detail, and promptly communicated with both myself and Janet . I feel fortunate to be working with both of them. The good Dr. Sanan should be proud of them .

I want to express my thanks to Dr. Abhay Sanan and P. A. Janet Haskell for giving my life back to me. I am an avid outdoors person. My photography, kayaking, hiking, and fishing were all on hold because of severe back, hip, and leg pain and numbness. I am in my recovery stage, but there is no pain or numbness in any of the areas mentioned above. I am feeling very positive about a full recovery. I appreciate their conservative approach, and that provided me with more confidence going into my surgery. Janet Haskell exhibits true excellence in patient treatment. In addition to exhibiting a high degree of expertise, she is thorough, conscientious and caring, which is a rare combination in these days of big, on the clock, by the numbers medicine. It has been a welcome surprise to receive follow-up calls the day after tests to discuss the results, determine specific next steps, and develop an overall plan of care. I had ACDF surgery at TMC which was performed by Dr. Sanan. Jan was a key part of his team from my initial appointment diagnosing my spine issues, to the surgery day, to post op follow-up, to questions after the post op follow up. I had confidence that I was in the right hands especially when Jan dropped by the morning of the surgery. When a nurse works for a doctor for 17 years, something is working which I feel can truly benefit the patient. I am grateful that Jan was part of the medical team!

I know that Jan has many patients to see but she is completely unhurried in her visit. She takes her time to explain everything and answer any questions. She is extremely knowledgeable about pathophysiology and treatment options. And she is also very nice. What a pleasure to deal with a health professional of this caliber.

Generally, most patients do not understand the role of Nurse Practitioners in treating the lion's share of medical problems. NPs are the veritable backbone of our medical system.
