Worst therapist ever, caused a lot of trauma
I worked with Janet for 6 months when I was 17. I was in a toxic situation and she encouraged it and made me feel that the issue was my fault. She crossed boundaries, and acted inappropriately. It took me a while to get back into therapy, and part of my following stage of therapy was getting over the toxicity that I experienced from Janet. I would not recommend her as a therapist because I wouldn't risk it, despite what the good reviews say. It's just not worth it.

I’ve recommended Dr. Farrell several times over the past 15 years. She changed my life. When my teenage daughter’s father passed Dr. Farrell significantly helped her life as well. She’s terrific.

She was extremely helpful in treating my PTSD with an EMDR session. I only had one session and it had a profound change/impact on me in reprocessing my trauma. I had the treatment about 10 y ago and the effect was permanent. I always highly recommend her to people I know struggling with PTSD. Like the reviewer above, I found this looking for her in recommending her and thought I should leave a review, as well.

Was extremely helpful with my PTSD. Had a major shift and improvement after only one session several yrs ago. I highly recommend her. In fact saw this when looking her up to give info to someone with PTSD & figure I should give a review since she helped me so much and I rec EMDR to people & have rec her to people several times that live in SD area.
