Dr. James Murray, DNP

I have a history of skin cancer and started seeing Dr. Murray in 2019 when I relocated to Coos Bay. I get a regular check up and over the years Dr. Murray has treated me for a number of different skin cancers. Each treatment has been successful and I remain cancer free.A few times a suspicious spot has occurred between visits. Each time I was able to send Dr. Murray a picture through his portal. Some look very concerning and he made time to see me quickly.There is no question he is a busy man, but if you want quality care there is none better

After waiting six months for my appointment, I was sternly told there were only three things I could discuss. Apparently that meant I didn’t get an exam. He never checked any moles but thankfully when I went to someone else they did and found that needed biopsies. Then when I got my after visit summary it said I had an “extensive history or excessive sun exposure” and “counseled patient on importance of sunscreen and avoidance of excessive sun exposure.” Neither ever happened. No ‘diagnosis’ and no counseling. I went to Advanced Skin Care in Coquille. I’m very pleased with them.

Dr. Murray and his team were very kind and professional. I received a laser treatment for my face. The office was spotless and the staff were friendly. Dr. Murray and his assistant gave clear information about the procedure and the after care. I am not always comfortable in a doctors offices, but I felt totally at ease here. The Cool Peel laser treatment has done wonders for my redheaded, freckled, almost 40yr old skin. I usually don't leave the house without full makeup, this treatment has given me the confidence to leave the house without any makeup at all!! I highly recommend Dr. Murray, his staff and this procedure.
