Dr. James Cancellari, OD

I saw Dr. Cancellari a few months ago and vowed never to come back because my experience as a patient was horrible. He is very rude, condescending and disrespectful. Unfortunately, I had to come back to deal with some issues from the first visit and the 2nd time was even worse. In both visits, he failed to see me as a human being. It felt like a cold, transactional visit with no regards to me as a person and much less with the need for information or explanation. At one point in my exam I must have answered in a lower tone and he rudely said “Speak up” in an impolite and unpleasant tone. Lacking respect without a please or thank you. I was startled and taken aback as it was clear that there was no interest on the doctor’s end in being pleasant or to have any conversation with me other than the routine phrases that guide you through the exam and this harsh and extremely unpleasant request. His manner and approach to with patients is superior, ill-mannered and extremely cold.

AWESOME DR , nice lovely staff ! They were super helpful and very nice , will be returning in the future for more visits ! I will recommend him to everyone

This was my first time visiting Dr. Cancellari and LensCrafters in Citrus Park on 9/23. Dr. Cancellari was professional. My issue is with the staff. I was told I had no insurance which covered my exam or contact lens, but there was a special Bausch & Lomb promotion if I ordered a year supply of contact lens. They were ordered on 9/23 with a delivery date of 5-7 days. On 10/2 I contacted LensCrafters since the lens were not received. I was told they were back-ordered but were sent via FedEx with

I took my daughter's little girl, Kaila to Dr. Cancellari and she received exceptional medical care! Kaila had gotten a piece of glass in her left eye. The previous day her mother had taken her to All Children's Hospital Emergency Department and their doctor was unable to locate the piece of glass that was causing her eye pain. Dr. Cancellari was able to locate the piece of glass in her eye and promptly remove it. He then tested her vision and discovered that she also required glasses.

The staff are nice, but incompetent past making appointments. Doctors have poor bedside manner, seem frustrated in having to actually deal with patients. Have had to have several appointments over a couple of weeks because the treatments have not worked. Now I can't even get the doctor to authorize the prescription they made almost a week ago. Seek help elsewhere.

I can't rate the dr because he wasn't there. Horrible experience and never going back.
