Hyesoon Choi, ARNP

Hyesoon Choi is the worst medical "professional" i have came in contact with. I have bipolar 2 disorder and she doesn't think its real. She says trauma is normal and I have to get over it. She suggested I have more sex to get over my depression. She referred my body as my baby and i have been gaining weight.. she asked how i liked killing my baby. She compared my "dry skin" to her "youthful luminous skin". She told me to stop letting people abuse me and I'm my alcoholic husbands "sugar" mommy. Let alone.... I cried my whole session while she said "I took a dose of hard cold b word this morning". I will never see her again or refer anyone to this woman.

I went to see Hyesoon Choi about a month back and have wanted to leave a review since to avoid future disappointment for other patients seeking help. Dr. Choi was incredibly inappropriate in her responses to me seeking understanding about my own health. She talked a lot about her personal life and made suggestions that I should openly cheat on my current boyfriend if it would make me “happier.” When I spoke of my sexual trauma, she suggested it was normal and not something to worry about. Oh and “BPD isn’t a real disorder.” Several things were said that made our appointment awkward and uncomfortable. Definitely won’t be back.

Been seeing Hyesoon Choi for almost 2 years now, been seeing psychologist for 6 years and Choi is the only one that I have seen that not only listens to her patient's but explains every thing in detail about your treatment plan and side affects you may have. She doesn't suger coat anything she is blunt and to the point I really love having her as my psychologist also for the first time I am finally medicated correctly.

I went to Hyesoon Choi seeking medical help to continue managing my depression. One of her recommendations was that I have more sex so that I would feel happier. She eventually prescribed me a medication that I had been on before with no results, despite my telling her this. I was not presented with another option. I recommend contacting other providers before seeing her.

Best doctor ever, I cried so hard when she left the clinic I was seeing her at. I still miss her, no matter how bad I was feeling that day she was somehow able to give me hope...so lost without her, so many doctors since her leaving still makes me sad. She is truly amazing has a special way about her. I’m sure her current patients understand what I mean

Choi is so caring, and goes beyond to help others. Love her!

After many years of depression and counciling I was finally properly diagnosed. Hysoon Choi has been incredible in managing my medication and counciling. my quality of life and self esteem are improved

Ms Choi is knowledgeable, compassionate and will extend herself beyond the norm to help her patients. She thinks outside the box and that has helped me tremendously. Her skill far out ways her tendency to sometimes talk to much! However that never impedes her capacity and willingness to listen. I'd send my mother to her if she needed that kind of treatment!
