This PR blatantly denied my symptoms and care needs. I walked into an urgent care and expressed my medical history of antibiotics never helping me get over sinus & throat infections without tandem prescriptions, and he said “well other patients are responding well to this drug so you’ll be fine.” I told him antibiotics gave me severe side effects that I had concerns about experiencing if just put on a higher or longer dose of them without supplemental medication, and he said that i’d need to talk to another doctor about that, because he couldn’t do anything to consider those needs. He prescribed me twenty days of antibiotics. I am on day 12, feeling sicker than ever, with abdominal pain and GI distress as a side effect, with no improvement in my sinus or throat symptoms, and now I also have a yeast infection from prolonged antibiotic use. I’m sicker than I was when I sought care in the first place. This doctor had no bedside manner or concern for my individual needs as a patient.
