Dr. Howard Manela, DC

I recently started seeing Dr. Manela for my sciatica & back pain, which I’ve had since early this year. On my initial consultation, Dr. Manela listened to me very carefully & showed genuine compassion for my concerns. Dr. Manela exhibits positive energy & spirituality that is truly uplifting & refreshing. This far, I’ve had 8 adjustments & I’m experiencing very little pain. I highly recommend Dr. Manela for pain management.

TLDR: If you want an empathetic, knowledgeable chiropractor, especially if you have never previously had chiropractic work, I cannot recommend Dr. Howard Manela enough. His reviews are real. After being a patient for many years, I can tell you that his cliental includes a LOT of millennials and its because of the reviews! (For sure, Royal Oak is also a young area.) People who do their research look for doctors with these kinds of reviews, then turn around and leave their own to further boost such a great doctor. I am in this camp. Five years ago, I was in a major car accident where my vehicle was shoved into the barrier wall on I-696, crushing the roof of my vehicle into my head. In the early days afterwards, I was in a shock. I was in pain, but wanted to believe I would be alright. As swelling increased, the pain grew agonizing. I had migraines, neck pain, back pain, etc. I had been to the ER multiple times and was calling every neurologist and other specialist in Metro Det

I went to Dr. Manela desperate for help. My very first visit he spent 2 hours with me. A majority of the time was spent talking and reviewing my lengthy medical history. I received my first treatment that day and actually got enough relief to be able to sleep that night for the first time in several weeks. I went back for treatment again the next day. He said “I’ve been thinking about your case since you left yesterday and I really want to help make your life better.” To be continued.......

I called the office and got an appointment the same day. Upon arriving Dr. Manela and his staff were very attentive. The pinched nerve in my neck was causeing extreme pain in my upper back, right arm and right hand, I was in me in tears. After talking with the Dr. I know I was in the right place. Dr. Manela took ex-rays and treatement begain that day. I felt some relief immediately. With every visit my pain lessen. I know with Dr. Manela and his Staff (Ms. Danny) I will be 100% soon.

Dr Manela is a compassionate and competent professional. he has relieved the back pain that was troubling me for several months. he has a delightful positive attitude which always lifts my spirits when i visit him for an adjustment. his staff is also friendly and efficient.

Dr. Manela has successfully treated my hand pain and numbness, now I can ride my motorcycle longer distances with less hand pain & numbness along with feeling less fatigue. Dr. Manela is the best chiropractor I ever seen because he cares for his patients. His staff welcomes you every time. The techniques he uses are up to date. I would recommend them to my family and friends

I came in with lower back pain and nerve pain - Dr Manela explained that I had a spinal condition and since coming to him, both have started to subside. I can't emphasize how easy it is to set up and come in for an appt - and Dr Manela has a great attitude. RUN! DON'T WALK to this office. They're a great group of people.

Dr Manela has kept me moving for years despite DDD, hip problems and sciatica. I've never had a chiropractor correct a bad flare up as quickly as Dr Manela. And he's helped many of my friends and family.

Dr. Manela adjusted my shoulder after I was in an auto accident (i.e. cervical and thoracic subluxation) and I am still recovering. Dr. Manela is very knowledgeable and passionate about his job. His office has updated technology and patient care items. Dr. Manela treats all his patients with respect and truly listen to what you have to say. One day Dr. Manela stayed late to make sure my back and shoulder were properly adjusted. Dr. Manela treats me and all of his clients as his first priority.

Dr. Manela successfully adjusted my spine after I twisted it (i.e. sprain, subluxation) however, the consultative aspect and time spent with patient is poor... He appear rushed and hurried and anxious to move on to the next patient and spends very little time asking questions or providing any insight... Good doctor, just very busy.

I Have been a patient of Dr. Manela's For over 6 years and he is by far the best Chiropractor I have ever met. His techniques and his use of updated technology helped me get back to a healthy lifestyle. Just when i thought there was no one to turn too about my back and neck issues, I met with Dr. Manela and he treated me as i was his first priority. His staff was nice and respectable and i would totally recommend Dr. Manela to anyone who is in need of chiropractic help.

I recommended Dr. Manela to my whole family. He helped me with a herniated disc in my low back. After an auto accident left me barely able to move around without intense pain, he rehabilitated me to where I can now run and play with my kids and lift things again.
