Dr. Cox and her assistants are patient, decisive and professional.

I saw Dr. Cox for an emergency visit. One of my eyes was in tremendous pain due to severe dry eye. After quickly putting a drop of numbing agent in my eye to alleviate the pain, Dr. Cox conducted an examination of my eye and diagnosed the problem as an ongoing problem requiring treatment for the rest of my life. After the pain had subsided, she explained her diagnosis more fully and then sent in a prescription for medicated eye drops to my local CVS pharmacy. She also told me the specific type of OTC eye drops I will need for daily use in the future. Overall, I found her to be sharp and incredibly competent. I’ve now chosen her to be my eye doctor for yearly check-ups. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

I have been seeing Dr Cox for six years. At each visit she consistently knows my history and specific issues. Her explanations are clear and she always asks if you agree with her plan of care.

I was able to schedule this within an hour of realizing I was having an eye problem. Essentially no wait time in the office. Treatment started in the office, And my eye feels much better 24 hours later.

dr. Cox took the time to explain procedures to me and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I was impressed with her kindness and the ability to spend time with me and answer all of my questions. The staff in her office was also very kind and thorough. This was my first visit, and I would absolutely come back again and recommend her to others.

She was kind, knowledgeable, and informative, but most of all she listened.

She made me wait over a month for a recheck appointment because she didn’t get it right the first time, her assistant did all the work and she didn’t even cone see me. The assistant did a fine job, all Hillary did is review her numbers, pick a number in the middle and never examined me or checked the validity of the information her assistant provided. Worst eye doctor i have seen.

Dr Cox has been working with me over multiple visits to correct my vision. I was on some medication that changed my eyesight and she has been patient, always making sure to cover all of the possible issues. She is easy to get an appointment with, the whole practice is great! Highly recommend!

This was my first visit to Wilmington Eye and Dr. Hilary Cox. I was favorably impressed and look forward to future visits.

I have a special needs child and her vision issues are just one of many complications she has in life. She never attempted connect with my daughter, explain to her what was going on or the importance of what she was suggesting and would barely allow me to complete a sentence before she interrupted me with a demeaning tone as though I was incapable of understanding what she was saying. I have never been so disappointed in a physician in my life. We will never go back.

This was my first visit with Dr. Cox after several unsatisfactory experiences with other Wilmington Eye doctors. I was very impressed with her friendly but professional manner. She was thorough, listened to me and addressed all my concerns using understandable language. I am a fan!
