Power Tripping NP
Without warning, she cancelled my 20+ year, same dosage for 20 years, adhd medication with no weening or recourse because I made a comment about how much it costs to have a urinalysis - $250. I was unable to see my usual doctor so I was stuck with her. She requested I take a drug test and I begrudgingly did so. She sent out my Rx while I was in the bathroom. Afterwards, I made a comment about the price tag and left the office. Didn’t curse or raise my voice. Just wanted her to know that I’m poor… Imagine my surprise when the pharmacist told me it had been cancelled. I returned to the office, because they do not answer phones, and was told by the office manager that she had cancelled my Rx because I made said comment… And that’s it. Turns out my doc is retiring and I’ll have to find a new one. There are some cruddy withdrawal symptoms when you stop cold turkey, but who cares?
