Heather Neil, PA-C

Heather Neil was my primary medical provider from approximately 2011 to 2018, while I lived in Santa Fe. She consistently provided me with outstanding care. She paid close attention to my health needs and displayed a deep knowledge of medical issues and treatment practices. I believe that I am alive today thanks to her. The day after a dermatologist performed an examination of my skin from head to toe without finding anything of concern, I went to Heather Neil for my annual physical examination. She spotted a growth on my right ear that she thought could be melanoma. Testing confirmed that it was, and I had it removed. The growth was in a part of my ear that was not easy to spot. But Heather Neil did, thanks to her professional diligence. If not for her, I think it unlikely that anyone would have seen the growth until I had my annual exam a year later, probably too late then. I am deeply grateful for Heather Neil's highly professional approach to medical care. If she practiced in California where I live now, I would immediately seek to be her patient again. Note: I am not checking boxes in the Office & Staff section of this review form, since she was in a different office when I was her patient.

Heather Neil is an amazing person. She has compassion and insight like no other. Her almost 20 years of experience shows in how intuitive she is. She tries to help so many people that she is very far out with appts, but that’s because she instantly loves every patient she meets.

Heather Neil is a rare gem! Unlike nearly all primary care providers I've ever been to, she very actively stays current on new developments in medicine, reading medical news reports weekly. She's more knowledgeable than most on thyroid disease and conditions of concern to women. She's much more knowledgeable on hormone replacement therapy and offers more choices than 99% of primary care doctors in Santa Fe, most of whom give the strong impression of having been misinformed on HRT by Pharma industry sales seminars passing as Continuing Education courses. She really stays on top of her game, is a good, sympathetic listener, takes patient concerns seriously, and makes the effort to educate the patient about their condition. She genuinely does her best for each patient. I've been with her for years, and she's always been on time for appointments.

She is kind and friendly. Although does not follow her schedule. Waited well over 2 hours to see her while she called other patients. Wish I could say it was well worth the wait, but she isn’t.

Heather Neil is kind and compassionate. She will always tell you it the way it is. She took care of my father for over 3 years and still to do this day, I'm impressed she connected with a man who hate going to the doctor so well. We all love her very much and would recommend her to anyone who wants a doctor who actually cares. She's amazing. -Graviet Family
