Boot Camp Dressing Down
After asking a long list of sleep cpap related questions, he finally told me that the sleep study that cost me almost $500 and Blue Cross almost $10,000 was ineffective and that I would need to schedule an 'in home' study. When I asked questions about why the study was ineffective he gave me unsatisfactory answers. When I said that I was frustrated, he said that he didn't care and moved closer to me and 'dressed me down' like a Colonel or Drill Instructor in the Marine Corps. He told me that I was disrespecting him and that I needed to stop disrespecting him and become more respectful. I gave him my best Marine Corps salute and resolved that I would never schedule an appointment with him again. The appointment should have been cancelled and I should have been told that I needed to do the home study before spending the time and incurring the cost of an in person office visit. I have NEVER had a health care provider act like this before today.
