Vacation to Glacier or doctor appointment?
I would like to file a formal complaint against Dr. Ginger Strand. I have been a patient of Trinity in Minot ND for three years. In 2022, my primary care doctor left Minot and I made an appointment with Dr. Strand to refill my blood pressure medication. The appointment was for 25 May 2023. My husband made reservations at Glacier National Park over the Memorial Day weekend from the 25th to the 31 of May. I had to reschedule my appointment, the closest being in January, which meant I would run out of medication before seeing her. The person I talked to on the phone told me that because I chose to go on vacation and not keep the appointment, Dr. Strand would not refill my medication. So come sometime in July, I will run out. I truly can't believe that a doctor would risk a patient having a stroke or a heart attack, based on choosing to go on vacation over keeping a doctor appointment, when the doctor appointment could easily be rescheduled.
