Georgina Twumasi, PMHNP

Twumasi is a disgrace to the mental health field. I couldn't feel more disappointed or let down. She and her office (excluding naive, but kind Alison) were rude and incompetent in all areas. Scheduling was a mess. Reaching anyone regarding medication was delayed to the point it negatively impacted treatment. She confused personal information and treatment of another patient with my file. Twumasi' response to medication that was unhelpful or not working, was to double it over and over, month after month. My PCP had concerns, disagreeing with Twumasi's treatment and offered to collaborate with her. When I left the message regarding collaborating with my doctor, Twumasi and her office didn't just cease any communication with me, but also discharged me from the practice with out informing me despite having future appts scheduled!! I reached out for support during a difficult family situation. She caused severe longterm damage to my children and family as a whole.

I have never suffered in all my yrs under psychiatrist care!! As I did with Georgina!! 23 yrs Dr Lee! Was one of a kind!! I had him for 23yrs Dr Lee would not prescribe alprazolam!! She started me on 3 milligrams a day!! I hated them she would not start me on Clonazepam! Instead she took me off the alprazolam no taper cold turkey it was treacherous I have never been so sick coming off benzos! Dr Lee would taper !! The ETHICAL thing to do!!

Shes full of it. Requested referrals for other Dr but PCP didn't agree with her request.

Wasted $400 and didn't even get the meds I needed. She'll hunt you down though for that money, but won't get you the meds you need.

In all the years I've been traversing the Mental Health landscape, I have never been with a more disorganized, unprofessional practice-I left the practice to benefit my mental health-one word...RUN.

I called stating that I had issues with appetite due to the medication she prescribed me,she then changed the subject and did not help me with any of the concerns I had. Constantly talks over you, and hard to get in contact with.

In my first psychiatrist visit my psychiatrist was very rude and did not let me actually speak to get a clear idea of my diagnoses. For my next visit I texted back to ask where the telehealth link was and was never sent it then was never contacted again until I received an email MONTHS later saying I was no longer receiving treatment from here.

She was really nice, but I called almost every day for 9 days because she didn’t call in a new medication. She sent it to a random pharmacy instead of the one on file, and then she canceled my next appointment out of the blue. If you like consistency and communication, I would not recommend.

I have been seeing Georgina Twumasi and her staff now for about 3 months. I've been struggling for years balancing myself out and I finally feel like I have people in my court cheering me on! They are extremely graceful in talking about your struggles and are non-judgemental in every way possible. I feel accepted and heard by the staff. I have no problems in calling and scheduling appointments. Thank you Georgina and team for being the best out there! I have recommended by friends to you guys! I look forward to continuing working with you!

The services that I receive from Gina was beyond excellent. Gina and the staff are friendly and ensure that I am properly informed about my health and care. I would have no qualms in recommending them to friendly and friends.

No visit. I had an appointment 6 weeks out and called me the day of the appointment to tell me they no longer accept my insurance. Her page says that they do. Frustrating beyond belief.
