First let me say this review is 100% true. I was a 19 year old inmate at the California Men's Colony and saw "Dr. Chaffee" to update my prescription. I told him I had contact lenses and that I'd worn them since I was 9 years old. He asked where I got them, I told him I brought them with me when I came from the County Jail to the prison. Dr. Chaffee started yelling at me, not just like regular yelling but screaming at me that I had smuggled them into the prison. I had paperwork proving I had them legally. He had a guard come in and handcuff me, then called the housing unit and had a guard search my cell and confiscate my contact lenses and supplies. This left me nearly blind as I had no glasses yet and I am legally blind without correction. Dr. Chaffee then laughed and sent me back to the prison yard basically blind.
