Gail Brick, LCSW-R

My partner and I have been seeing Gail for nearly 2 years. She has gotten us through some terrible times and now we are in a great place. The proof is in the pudding, as they say.

This therapist traumatized me. She lost my trust when she decided I needed a support person present and then told them something I did not want disclosed. She over-shared personal information about herself that I did not want to know. She treated me like a child who doesn’t know what is best for them, and she told me how I should feel. She told me how SHE felt about one of MY experiences - she felt angry and victimized, and couldn’t sleep that night after our session. Confused? So was I. I stayed away from therapy for awhile after her, but now have happily found someone trustworthy and professional.

This is the worst therapy experience. She was 8 minutes late for the session again and when I confronted her with her lateness rather than apologize or explain she became very defensive and gave me strong attitude about she knows what she's doing as a doctor and this is normal you just have to wait. And she said she will transfer my case because I am difficult. I have been in treatment many times and am a therapist myself, I was never once being treated this way by another provider. And I would never treat my patient this way. Total lack of respect, empathy, and manner.

This Dr. turned my 10 year old daughter with anxiety and depression away on the day of the visit. We checked in 5 minutes early and made us wait almost an hour and said it was too late since nobody informed her we were waiting. She blamed US for not speaking sooner and never once apologized for checking for us. She sat in her office and came out an hour later and told my daughter to her face that we had to leave. Terrible thing for a psychologist for supposedly is an expert working with children
