Dr. Erica Stratton, MD

Erica Stratton was the attending physician of the doctor I saw today. This appointment was follow up from an ER visit concerning chest pain, heart palpations, shortness of breath. The ER does not have echocardiogram equipment and referred me to a cardiologist to get an echo. Stratton decided it’s not necessary to refer me to a cardiologist or to get an echo, argued with me, and said she wouldn’t do it because I’m not having chest pain. I told her I AM having chest pain, and she still refused, despite reading the note aloud from the ER doctor saying that an echocardiogram would provide reassurance of the absence of an underlying heart condition. I asked her what would happen if in 5 years I come back with an advanced heart issue that could have been caught early with this echocardiogram. She said we could talk then. How nice. No recommendations from other doctors should just be disregarded, nor should a patient’s symptoms.
