Dr. Barrera was very attentive. I had a lot of questions and he answered all of them very thoroughly and so that I understood. I was expecting him to have more positive reviews but I guess people are more likely to leave negative ones. Anyway, I went in for urgent care and it was maybe the only positive urgent care visit I've had. He was very straightforward with what he could do to help me right now and followed through. I really appreciated his friendly demeanor and willingness to listen and explain things. I hope I get him again if I ever have to go back.

I saw this health care provider to get refills on an antidepressant before moving out of state so I wouldn't run out in the process of moving or before I found a new primary care provider. The health care provider was initially very helpful and prescribed enough medication to connect with the start of my new health insurance. In addition to anxiety and depression, I also have ADHD which makes the logistics of moving and getting set up in a new location especially challenging. A little more than a week before I was able to make an appointment with a new PCP, I realized I was going to run out of my antidepressant and asked this health care provider if he would be able to prescribe 5-7 more days of medication just to get me through until my appointment with my new PCP. He denied the request. Because of the dosage strength of my medication, I have been advised to go to the ER to treat withdrawal symptoms. Denying this small refill is ridiculous. Do not see this health care provider.

I have never been treated so poorly at urgent care. Usually the doctors are empathetic, personable and actually help you. Enrique told me he couldn't help me, he said I came in too late and to just go to the emergency room. He acted annoyed that I was even there. He did not give me any follow up paper work nor did he send a prescription for the bogus diagnosis he gave me. Mr. Enrique hates his job & himself. He's in the wrong field and someone's going to die on his watch because of how poorly he does his job.

I came in with chest pains, and of course I'm a little anxious and have questions. He came in with a pretentious attitude and did not answer my questions thoroughly (couple worded answers) and I got the feeling he was actually annoyed at me asking questions. I was in the waiting room for well over 2 hours with chest pains.. I have high cholesterol and I asked to have my blood work done for LDL and HDL and upon receiving my results I come to find out they did not put a test for cholesterol even though I specifically asked for it, so I did not receive those results. Also he said he would give me a call to discuss my results and he did not live up to his word. Horrible doctor, horrible experience.

I had an excellent experience at Salem Health Convenient Care this morning and was seen by Enrique Barrera Jr. He was friendly, knowledgeable and sincerely cared about the treatment plan that he developed for me. He truly has the best of intentions when it comes to treating patients. I appreciate the time that he spent with me to determine what was wrong with me. He treated me on point and I can honestly say that the pain is already so much better in my neck than it has been for days! Thank you!
