I’ve worked with a few therapists before, but this has been different. I didn’t need someone to just listen or reframe things—I needed someone sharp, who could actually help me see things in the right ways and get to what was actually holding me back. Since working with her, I’ve had more energy, less second-guessing, and progress in areas I hadn’t even realized were connected. Can’t recommend her enough.

I thought I would never find the right counselor for my blended family. Honestly I had given up! But Several stepmom friends recommended Dr. Carter to me and I finally made an appt. She is absolutely incredible! Some things I love most about her…. She has found the perfect balance between listening and talking, she is a mom and has a lot of life experience with blended families, you can tell she truly loves what she is doing and it’s about you and not a paycheck. she has a way of making you feel safe, and heard, and seen! She exudes positive supportive vibes and I always feel so hopeful and empowered after seeing her! She is so empathetic and easy to connect with, she doesn’t talk about herself unless appropriate, i have never ever felt rushed in a session, i have never had an issue getting an appt., she plans for every appointment in advance! And is so prepared and remembers everything lol! Most importantly i trust her and she is so honest and ethical! Dr. Carter is such a gift!

Dr. Carter leaves families feeling more hopeless than they were before treatment was initiated. She uses bullying tactics and waste therapy sessions explaining the importance of her time and her schedule rather than being supportive and reinforcing established care. I was advised that sessions would be a family dynamic; however, when scheduling appointments I was forced to do therapy with my child as a single parent and essentially told to take what they had or nothing. Therapy plans and expectations are changed without notice which leaves you and your child to feel lost and frustrated, especially a child that already has severe self-worth issues.
