After speaking on the phone, she said email to get on her waitlist (because she couldn't do it herself, right then?) We waited, checking in once to indicate our ongoing interest. After a few months, she let us know she had an opening, but then wouldn't move forward with it--deciding for us, that because we'd had an exploratory session w/ someone else, we should work with them. When I politely expressed my frustration about this, asking why she offered us a spot then didn't let us have it, she wrote back that she hadn't ever offered us a spot! Apparently we were supposed to mind-read that letting us know she had an opening, didn't mean we had an opportunity to work with her. She might give it to someone else or decide we weren't a good fit--AFTER making us wait!She 'apologized' w/ 'sorry you feel...' Anyone who works with relationships should know that isn't an apology; it's code for 'I'm sorry I have to deal with your feelings,' and takes no responsibility for ones own actions.

She did more harm than good for me and my spouse. She focused more on me and not on the core issues we were facing together. I feel lucky our relationship survived and only thanks to a different therapist. Good luck.
