Ellen Lowrey, OTR

I CANNOT in good conscience as a retired healthcare clinical intelligence consultant, recommend Ms. Ellen Lowrey to other individuals requiring occupational therapy. Ms. Lowrey’s behavior and words seriously degrade the excellent work of the surgeons and staff at Chicago Hand and Orthopedic Surgery Centers. For almost two years I saw Ms. Lowrey for OT due to shoulder problems. At first, she was pleasant and professional, but starting in November 2022 her behavior towards me became erratic and unprofessional. She became rude, impatient, and she frequently mistreated me in front of other patients and my family when I began to ask why after doing the same exercises for several months, Ms. Lowrey’s only response was to tell me one day I was doing all the exercises wrong. Furthermore, despite 10+ years as a health care professional, Ms. Lowrey poked fun at my memory problems (I have early onset Alzheimer’s disease). Please go somewhere else for OT care.
