Elizabeth Bielstein, ARNP

I found Dr Bielstein to be skillful and thorough. I felt she cares a lot about her work, and doing it properly. She explained her decisions very carefully and precisely and provided thorough documentation of each visit, which was a helpful resource. I think I would have stuck with her if I felt I could easily afford to go out of network.

Beth is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, flexible, a good listener and has a fun sense of humor.

Had been on a combo of mood stabilizer/antidepressant for years. In the past when I've quit them, I was tapered off, as should be done with psychiatric meds. First time I meet Bielstein (my doc moved) she urges me not to stop my pills. I do not have a criminal record, I haven't been to the hospital due to my mild mood issues, and yet she treated me like an idiot for having made dietary changes and wanting a different route. Inappropriately so. She pulls any little thing she can from my old doc's record to "prove" that I must need them. Reluctantly when I didn't budge, she relented, saying that I would need to go back on them if I experienced any negative effects (there always are some at first). I get to my pharmacy to find out she cut the antidepressant off cold turkey, just tapered the stabilizer down. Thinking this must be a mistake, I look at my appt form. Indeed it says, "Stop taking (med)" - She stopped me cold turkey! I felt she tried to set me up for failure, having disagreed
