Elaine Jackson, LPCC

The first thing noticeable about Elaine is her intense and unfriendly style, which is off-putting. She is like a Miranda Priestly version of a therapist. Although she has expertise in narcissism, she does not have a warm and supportive demeanor that allows you to comfortably express your thoughts and concerns without judgment. In addition, she imposes her religious beliefs, without any regard for the client's potential beliefs. When I brought up my concerns to her, she became defensive, did not make an effort to understand where I was coming from, and quickly brought the session to an end, wishing me well in a very cold and aloof manner. I was left feeling very angry and without a sense of resolution or closure. Nonetheless, it confirmed precisely what I had suspected all along. Needless to say, we ended on non-amicable terms. Do not recommend.

I don't typically leave reviews, but feel compelled to do so for Elaine Jackson because I saw others rating her as a 1 star. Don't let the 2 bad reviews deter you. She is a true professional, and an expert who cares. Look into her credentials and be confident you'd be lucky to work with her.

Elaine became our counselor after my husband and I met some challenges in our relationship. She has been a beacon of light to us. With her guidance and expertise, we have found a new appreciation for our marriage, and each other. She has truly been a blessing to us and I would recommend her as a counselor.

Elaine has shown the upmost respect for me. She is genuine and eager to help. Elaine is professional and knowledgeable in many different therapeutic modalities. I appreciate the fact that Elaine is a Christian counselor and able to help me grow in Christianity, without forcing her beliefs on me. Elaine has provided a safe haven for me where I can talk openly about PTSD, sexual abuse, thoughts of self harm or any other concerns or problem I am experiencing.
