Went in to the emergency room because an ingrown hair had abscessed near my groin. I requested female staff due to the location of the issue, and was told that he would "be happy to for me to come back in the morning, and just put in that you came into the ER 'in error'". I had a fever of 101, I had red streaks down my leg, and I felt like I was about to faint. After I had left the ER to go to another, they had not checked me out, and it took nearly two hours for the second ER to be able to admit me. I understand that the pandemic has many doctors stressed, but that kind of blatant lack of compassion or basic respect is unacceptable. It leads me to believe that he has not had any sensitivity training. I feel the need to write this review of care here where I can be anonymous because it is all too common for women to launch complaints against doctors for this type of thing, only to be labeled a 'difficult patient' within the system, and no longer be given adequate care.
