Donna Boswell, LCSW

This woman should not be allowed to practice. I was warned about her by another counselor when she was assigned to our case but took the warning with a grain of salt. We can all have different perspectives. Wow, was the other counselor right. She did nothing but make everything worse. Took the ex's side on everything. Even against the kids. Ex called our daughter a hateful little 'b' for not having said thank you to his girlfriend and Donna took his side. Not joking. I tried to have her replaced, but the court wouldn't allow it. Ex and I both hired custody evaluators. Donna referred my Ex to an evaluator, and I found my own. Before we had to go back to court, BOTH custody evaluators asked the court to remove her. That's right. Both evaluators. Even the one that she 'chose' for my ex. If you get her name as your assigned counselor from the court, do NOT agree to her, find someone else.

Ms. Boswell is honest and ethical - something lacking in the family court arena. Parents and children who have been brutalized by the system are fortunate to have a professional like Ms. Boswell. Ms. Boswell stays focused on what attorneys, judges, family court professionals seem to forget: the safety and best interest of children. I wish Ms. Boswell would have been involved in my case early on, my children would not have been subjected to further abuse and trauma.

Now my son being 20 I can say she destroyed his confidence in any counseling. I would not recommend her in any capacity. At that time she worked very closely with attorneys and in my opinion she used this to bring business. He did much better after she was removed from case.

She was amazing in a very volatile situation. I never felt that she took sides or played nonsense games. I can say she honestly had my daughter’s best interest at heart. She was worth every penny. She stayed up to date with what was going on in our case. She scheduled even appointments between both sides. She is an expert in parent alienation. Donna also made herself available in emergency situations.

Now that my child is 18, I feel I can leave an honest review of Donna Boswell. She was hired to be our Parent Coordinator for our child custody case. Donna Boswell notably lacks morals & ethics within her job, & I am shocked that she is still allowed to practice. She once spent 20 minutes of our time chatting up my ex about ski vacations. She had a habit of asking us to spend money on expensive things for our daughter when she knew we were both struggling financially at the time. For example, she told me to take my daughter on vacation. An absurd thing to ask a single mom on a limited income. She also used to manipulate my daughter. My daughter, now an adult, vividly remembers Ms. Boswell bulling her into changing her mind on various topics(ie: where she wanted to go to school). The last straw for us was when my ex & I both caught her lying. The only thing my ex & I ever agreed on is that Ms. Boswell is unprofessional & a waste of money. I suggest recording all conversations. I did.

She saved our family

Donna Boswell has helped my family and I tremendously. Donna is a very laid back, fun woman who’s priority interest is to help her clients. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

she never made appointments just called wanted you to drop everything. Child had no trust in her after catching her lieing. Ask to borrow childs phone took picture of message. Burped,stuff money in bra. Never received a bill would just call wanting money, made no attempt to help child in anyway. I would not every recommend her to anyone she is a gun for hire.
