When I first saw, NP Brown, I really thought she was going to help me. Instead, she dashed our hopes and dreams and devastated me with an incorrect diagnosis. She stated I was in menopause based solely on one FSH test and told me she was sorry and I could not conceive. She refused to send me to a specialist or explore options. We were devastated and I was in a very dark place. Finally thankfully I had other insurance and went to an amazing Gyn Dr. at the VA who referred me to an endocrinologist. After getting my entire medical history and looking at my very high estrogen levels, they said there was no way I am in menopause and it was determined my ovaries are just fine. I still can’t believe that NP Brown dismissed me like that. Sometimes you have to take into account the patients entire history and care enough to delve farther and she was unwilling to go the extra mile for her patient.
