Let's start this by saying that i'm also a doctor and I have a deep understand of pharmacology and quality patient care. I suffer from high levels of nerve pain due to a spinal injury. My pain management doctor recommended that I change my 2,000mg daily of gabapentin to 375mg daily of lyrica (both are similar nerve pain medications). He noted this in my chart, and I ask Ms. Nguyen to reference the doctor's notes and prescribe 375mg lyrica daily. Ms. Nguyen force me to drop from 2,000mg gabapentin to only 75mg lyrica, without tapering me down. This violates proper tapering protocol for never pain medications and the withdrawals and increased pain have been terrible. When I asked her to increase it to the recommended amount, she then only gave me 150mg lyrica. I messaged her my plea to respect the doctors recommendations and I can see that she read my message over a day ago and has chosen to ignore it. The lack of knowledge, care and clinical skill is evident.
