Was my therapist for several months. Towards the last part, I underwent a violent trauma. I came in on what became my last appointment, although that wasn't my intention at all. I am one who requires to trust the person I confide in, and I felt the need to talk about my stress and concern in this area in our work together. She said that she didn't know what to say and that there is no one she knows of to refer me to. I was left with no help in a more dire situation than before.
