Dr. David McQueen, OD

Went for an eye exam. When they found out that I sometimes wear contacts, (I told them 50% of the time) I was given a contact eval for $125 out of pocket. The contacts he prescribed were useless (could not read with them and I told him I worked as a nurse) and about twice as much as I normally pay. They will not refund and I will not go back.

I went to Dr. McQueen for the first time today. The young gentleman who did the pre exam was very nice but Dr. McQueen was just grumpy. He didn t explain or say anything, did the eye exam handed me a prescription print out - that’s it! I am rather new in this area and was looking for a trust worthy eye doctor that I could go to for years to come and also buy my glasses from. I have used LensCrafters in other states in the past and the doctors were just great and the staff was wonderful! Not in Hyannis though! Too bad!

First time patient. Very nice environment. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and Dr. They all took the time to thoroughly explain the different tests and the results. Great visit

Wait time is very exaggerated..I had an appointment at 4:30 and had to leave at 6 without seeing a Dr..Exceptional poor service. If they are running that far behind let people know..I’ll never be back and will be spreading the word. Our time is important too,\.

I found the services were excellent. Dr. McQueen is very knowledgeable, friendly and uses the latest equipment. I recommend him without hesitation. Best eye exam I've had in years.

Easy to get in for an appointment... The staff was helpful when I had to come in for an emergency. Dr. McQueen helped me to feel better in no time. I will be coming back for my regular exams.

I have been returning to Dr. McQueen every year, and I recently had the pleasure of having his daughter Dr. Ferrier as my doctor. They are both wonderful doctors and have cared for my family as their own. They are extremely intelligent and manage eye conditions adequately - referring out to great ophthalmologists for surgeries when needed. I will always return to their office for all of my eye care needs. From what I understand, Dr. Ferrier also fits specialty contacts for unique patients.

Staff is consistently rude and unhelpful. I think this attitude comes from the top, as I have received the same dismissive attitude from the doctors. I actually called and said I was a patient and had an issue with my eye, and the office manager said the doctor would call in three days. Have they ever heard of the Hippocratic oath: Do no harm? They are fortunate I had no lasting problem. They would have had a huge lawsuit. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

My elderly Aunt received very poor service. Her old glasses had prism adjustments but Dr. McQueen's staff missed the adjustment in her new prescription, twice. This office lacks the equipment and expertise to properly identify prism need. The Office Manager was rude, unprofessional and refused us access to the doctor for corrections. Fortunately, the general manager on the adjacent Lenscrafter service identified the missing prism adjustment and arranged for a corrected prescription.
