I have autism and terrified of doctors. I've had the same doctor in Illinois since I was 5. I'm 32 and moved to Florida and my boss recommended David. Was nervous when meeting him but now I'm pretty comfortable. When I'm sick I usually just sit at home and self medicate. Not anymore.

I was not feeling well on a Saturday morning, I contacted Ellenton Family Practice totally expecting to get voicemail. A medical assistant answered and scheduled me for a telehealth appt. that day. I spoke with David Hervig, PA he was pleasant, genuinely concerned and listened to my symptoms and took time to make sure I understood what the treatment plan was. I just wanted to state it was a very good experience. I'm glad I chose this practice as a transplant from the Northeast I wasn't sure about the treatment I'd receive. Great experience.

Great family practice office in Ellenton. I like that it is a small office, not another hospital owned practice. Employees here are actually nice and care about my well being. David is great, he knows what he is doing I trust him 100%

I feel like he really listens and does what is best for me every time I see him. Very personal, I do not feel like I am a number anymore but a real human being. His Ellenton clinic is very clean, staff very polite. I never have to wait longer than 10 minutes. Open even on Saturdays. Love it!

Dr Hervig is by far the best doctor I’ve had. It is like old school treatment. He does whatever he can to make sure you’re happy and healthy. He follows up with you outside of your appointment/office visit on his own time just to make sure you’re ok. I have since referred my husband there who is equally happy. I love him and the office. Everyone is just great!

Professional, personable, and accommodating!! Dr Hervig isn’t your average Dr. He explains things on a personal level that made me feel like I wasn’t just another person that was ill. He rearranged his schedule to fit me in last minute! Try to find another DR to do that! I highly recommend Dr Hervig and Ellenton Family Practice to anyone who has ever had a bad experience anywhere else. You won’t be disappointed!

David Hervig is amazing He listen he goes out of his way to help me and cares so much.He has completely changed my life. I was suffering daily with my illness with his skill and knowledge I have my illness under control. Because of David I am now able to go out do the things I enjoy. He really changed my life and I can't thank him enough.

When I moved to Florida and didn't have a Dr. I had to go to an urgent care. I had the same Dr. in another state for yrs. I was not looking forward to finding a new Dr.. I met Dr. Dave at an urgent care and tracked him down to his private practice. He is kind and takes the time to hear you. He knew I had anxiety about a new Dr. and he took the time to make me feel comfortable. I have been his patient now for over a year and could not be happier. My whole family goes to him now.

The rudest doctor I ever saw. He is in the wrong profession. Doctors are supposed to answer patient's questions and concerns and not prescribe medicine like robots. This guy has no reason to treat patients the way he does. He needs to retire and not to be around people who come to the clinic sick and need help. Avoid him!

The rudest doctor I have ever seen. No wonder he is not even an MD but a PA. MDs have more compassion to their patients. Go see him if you want to be scared to discuss your medical history or want to feel like you are nothing. This PA needs some meds to control his anger issues.

I went to my local urgent care to be seen for my ear pain which is common with me since I have horrible sinuses and Eustachian tube dysfunction as well as ear tubes in both ears. When I went to urgent care to be seen, David Hervig was the PA that saw me this day. He barely read over my chart, looked into my ears and told me nothing was wrong with me. He acted as if I was in there "pill shopping" and told me he couldn't help me. Told me to go to the ER if I really needed help. Horrible experience
