My visit to Dr. Fairley went as I expected. He was thorough and professional. However my pleasant surprise came as his assistant, Mirna, worked with me to locate the best contact lens solution for my particular needs. She was exceptional and continued to work with me until I ended up with the correct lenses. She was phenomenal!!

When I told him about my chronic, painful dry eyes, he said there is nothing that can be done except to use over-the-counter eye drops or ointments (even though he said the dryness caused a need for a stronger prescription). I've since done my own research on the American Academy of Ophthalmology website and discovered there is much to be done or at least attempted to help this at times debilitating condition. The appointment with him was a waste of money when I am unemployed without vision insurance. I needed sound medical advice, instead I received an Rx for new eyeglasses.

Not impressed. Good luck when trying to schedule an appointment for my family of 4 "We can't schedule that many people, it is too risky if you don't show up." After insisting that we will show up and I will pay my copay in advance if needed for a down payment the not very pleasant receptionist made out appointments. As for the service, my new glasses made me see worse (they were not progressives or anything special), when I called back to have my eyes rechecked, she refused to schedule until I have worn them for 2 weeks to get adjusted (never had an adjustment period for basic glasses before, even reading was now difficult). After 2 weeks called back as there was no progress and was told that was the prescription you asked for (and the doctor concurred) and if you come in and it is the same you will be charged the full amount (though rechecks are supposed to be free). I let everyone know of my horrible experience and will never go back to see Dr. Fairley and his rude receptionist.

Dr. Fairley said I might have Glaucoma. That scared me! He suggested I go to see another Optometrist with super low ratings. I went to see an Opthalmologist instead. He said I don't have Glaucoma. Good news! Except it killed my day, and I will probably have a $200 co-pay. The MD said, Did the optometrist even dialate your eyes? I said No. Although I did opt out of that. Still, he should have requested that, before having me go to all of the expense and time off of work.

If you are using insurance be careful. our plan has an out of network copay of $15. Drs office insisted on a $30 copay which we paid. We verified that our insurance paid $45 which meant they were paid $75 for the $60 service. we went to the office and requested a refund. instead of checking the records both the receptionist and doctor continued to insist that we had a $30 copay. I was frustrated, left the office and complained to Costco management. Dr called and said refund would be sent
