I have a probable case of Covid and when the drive up testing center that is only open for 2.5 hours Monday through Friday was closed, I had gone to the Walk in clinic, a service provided by the hospital. Needless to say when I told the receptionist working that I needed to be seen due to the severity of my symptoms, an attitude ensued from every working employee I came in contact with. Danielle literally lectured me for coming in and that I should have stayed home. I have. For three days I have self cared and treated my symptoms to the best of my knowledge. A little empathy would have gone a long way. Instead I left and was sent on my way because my lungs sounded good. All I wanted was some relief and a test. I got neither. Felt like I was an inconvenience for having taking my health seriously instead. I will be reaching out to the hospitals patient advocacy personnel first thing in the morning. No reason to treat patients like this.
