Daniel Yu, LCSW

TL;DR: Dan Yu is an intellectually qualified provider, but he doesn't respect his patients. If my friend told me they were considering seeing this provider, I would be very concerned and strongly advise them to reconsider. He was consistently unprofessional, often cancelling appointments the week before, but requiring patients to pay if they miss more than 2 appointments a year (even with advance notice). He would promise to schedule appointments, but I would consistently never hear back. As of now (November), he hasn't responded to my emails for a September receipt. When I brought up these issues to him, he suggested that I was attempting to avoid addressing my issues in therapy, and that I had trust issues.I frequently ended my sessions feeling like I was crazy. Ultimately, seeing Danny was very negative for my mental health. I would recommend finding a provider who values your time, instead of someone who only values their own time.
