Basic care
I want to preface that I completely understand she is probably overwhelmed with her patient load. I've seen her for several years. Prescriptions aren't called in until days later sometimes, messages on the portal results instead of calling, doesn't look at optimal results just whatever Saint als guidelines show. That is based on population and population is increasingly becoming more unhealthy. Ask for suggestions and I don't feel the confidence from her. She doesn't have a huge knowledge of thyroid function. When I had a nodule she had ordered a biopsy and ultrasound. I had to call several times to get referral in action. Then results were inconclusive. Instead of a specialist review she said wait 3 months. I couldn't swallow and turns out my nodule was one of the largest my surgeons ever seen. Coded lab work as fatigue instead of history of thyroid removal so It cost me $585 (for thyroid labs)

Rushed encounters, "I know everything" attitude
If your looking for a provider that wants to work with you on behalf of your health Perkins is not it, she'll spend 5 minutes not listening to a word your saying and then treat you like you don't know dirt(about your own body), and will TELL you what you're GOING to do for her rushed and misjudged treatment of issues she didn't take the time to understand. Without a doubt if I would have listened to her and not got a second opinion I would've been on medications the rest of my life. Every encounter has been rushed yearly checkups to emergency room follow ups and real untreated issues have crossed into chronic ongoing issues while things she has added to my medical file were just wrong or irrelevant. She has talked down to me on more than one occasion for simply asking why she believed I need to do, or not to do certain things.

Danae is thorough and consistent. Even when I see students she is training she makes time at every appointment to answer questions, make sure all my health care needs are taken care of and schedule follow up before I leave. I would highly recommend Danae as she truly cares about her patients!

Danae Perkins has always been so kind, and is spot on with my meds. I have never had a long wait to be seen. Most recently, she squeezed me into an already busy schedule in order to check on me after a hospitalization. I have never felt rushed, she always gives me whatever time I need to get questions answered.

The majority of my appointment was spent with trainees. Danae spent less than five minutes with me. This was my initial appointment to establish care. I felt like she was in a rush to get out of the room. I did not feel like I was wanted as a new patient.

90% appointment time spent with trainees. Meds prescribed by Danae have not been called in. A recommendation to a obgyn from a month earlier was never made. requested it again yesterday...My last appt. was 9:40 yesterday. I feel my health is important, and should be to -your care givers - as well.
