Cynthia has been the best therapist my daughter has ever seen. She cares so much for my daughter and our family. She has changed my daughters life in the most positive way. She communicates with the entire family and is never hard to reach. If your child needs someone to talk to and never be judged, Cynthia the the one. I cannot say enough nice and positive things.

(tw - ED/OCD) Cynthia saved my life. I suffered from OCD and anorexia, both of which made the other significantly worse. I started seeing her over three years ago when I first began treatment, and thanks to the guidance (and patience!) of her and my dietician, I have recovered almost entirely from my eating disorder. Some of the things we've worked on are: Black and white thinking, rigidity, control, people-pleasing, and setting boundaries. She really focuses on helping you find your actual values and separating them from your ED/OCD voice. She will not tell you what you want to hear- she will tell you what you need to hear. Gently, definitely, but firmly. This, obviously, can be hard in the moment, but I *promise* you it's worth it in the long run. With Cynthia's help, I went from a sad teen lost in her eating disorder to an independent, well-rounded adult. I'm so grateful. Recovery is AMAZING & so so so worth it :))

THIS IS MY ADVICE & OPINION: See another therapist. She was good several years ago, but far from now since she has become very burnt out. She is in her 60s, and about to retire, so save yourself the time of having to start over with finding a new therapist, and see someone else. Otherwise, you will have to start all over once she retires, and why would you want to work with a burnt out therapist anyways?

Cynthia has been an essential part of my family’s wellness for five years as part of a “team” of caring individuals - both professional & non- professional - who I believe saved my daughter’s life and who has also counseled my son and myself, helping us cope through some of life’s most difficult times. I wish we could take her home with us.. My kids would not be comfortable with anyone else the way they are with Cynthia, and just knowing they can call her or see her comforts them. And me.

I have been going to Cynthia for about 4 years, she has helped me through so much and is super fun and personable. Without her I don’t think I would have learned certain skills that I now use on the daily. She’s awesome!!!!

My daughter was diagnosed in April of 2017 with an eating disorder. She was hospitalized and went through 3 months of both inpatient and IOP (Intensive Out-Patient) Treatment. After being discharged from an Eating Disorder Treatment Center, She needed continued support from a strong team of both a Dietition and a therapist. Cynthia Hutchins came highly recommended to us and has been the perfect fit for my daughter. Cynthia is giving my daughter the tools needed for recovery.
