He was the physician's assistant in the emergency room at St. Joseph's hospital when I went there because my nose was ripped open and broken. I was a bloody mess. PA Reid was tremendous - he evaluated the situation and took charge of the remedy. He was tremendously competent and, through his actions, communicated that he would fix this and that I'd be fine. He was very aware of and sensitive to the urgency of the situation, my pain levels, and the need to communicate effectively with me, given the hectic and intense environment of an emergency room in a big hospital in the middle of a large urban area.He patched me up and sent me on my way with a minimum of fanfare, and predicted very accurately the course of my healing. I healed with a minimum of scarring or disfigurement and to him it was all in a day's work. Great work as it turns out. I feel blessed to have this level of competence and caring in such a time of need.
