Complete lack of empathy and care
Many years after my experience with her I am still healing from the damage that was done in only 2 sessions with her. I disclosed complex childhood trauma including the death of both of my parents in adolescence, and experiencing trauma flashbacks while living in the home one parent died in. I was told I have "first world problems" and should be grateful that I have a home to live in. I highly encourage you to stay away if you have a trauma history and need a trauma-informed, caring practitioner.

I had a terrible experience seeing Colette. She seemed very uninterested in anything I had to say. She even made a joke about me being the almost last patient of the day. So I could tell she was ready to be done with work. She made me feel like she didn't care, and like she was really pushing herself to "try" to act like she cared. She rushed through my session, and even cut me off early and rushed me out the door. As soon as it was over, I knew I never wanted to see her again.
