Claudette took me on at 38 weeks pregnant by the grace of God. After the Midwife I was seeing since 8 weeks pregnant let me go at 37 weeks due to finical difficulties and couldn't pay her the rest of what we owed her. I was planning on a hospital birth not by choice. A friend recommended Claudette and she prayed on it after listening to my story and took me on. She was exactly what I needed. I'm in awe of her care and calmness. She knew how much I wanted a home birth and we did it. I will forever be grateful for her. The care an attention she gave even after baby was born months later is beyond Par. Thank you Claudette. I will always recommend her.

We had TWO amazing home births with Claudette (in 2017 and in 2021, during the pandemic) where I received excellent care both times. I cannot recommend her enough to any mom considering using her services. She is caring, kind, tender, thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate, encouraging, and tough as nails when she needs to be. I think she, combined with a doula she had been working with for numerous births, are a rock star team. Claudette provided my prenatal care and was thorough for every visit. She was always able to tell me how the baby was positioned and we listened to heartbeat. I firmly believe with her training and my doula's coaching that I was able to have TWO virtually pain-free vaginal births. It was super uncomfortable in terms of pressure-labor, but she told me what to expect and was constantly checking in on how I was doing feeling. I did have some complications postpartum, but even in that, she was calm, level-headed, providing the interventions needed. We love her!

I hired Claudette as my midwife in California, and delivered my baby on March 15, 2021. Claudette provided severely negligent postpartum care and I almost bled to death based off of her advice to “take an ibuprofen and go to sleep.” Afterwards, I learned that she forfeited her license in 2005 and that her “assistant” who only met at the labor was actually the licensed midwife who legitimized her services and signed off on all of the paperwork. I later learned that they regularly do this, and in 2019 Claudette and her “assistant” allowed a baby to die due to negligent prenatal and postpartum care. Be cautious hiring this person, as she has shown to care more for herself than the health and safety of mothers and babies.
