Ignored symptoms I reported that did not align with her diagnosis. Ignored repeated requests for immediate pain relief so I could sleep. Could or would not explain how her diagnosis and proposed treatment addressed my entire array of symptoms.

Unfortunately this provider has difficulty with obtaining and acting on patients prior history and treatments. Instead of consulting with the patient and former physician for continuing care she unanimously chooses to change the care plan established with another doctor, who was well reguarded in pain mangement prior to his retirement. She doesn't seem to regard or seek to understand the patients history or wishes in her decisions to unilaterally change an established care plan. Her personality and inflexible nature are a hindrance to providing a comforting relationship. She does not handle differences of opinion well and is confrontational without offering sound reasoning behind her decisions. She does fit in well with the new Mercy Pain Center philosophy that has changed from personal patient mangement to a consulting interventionalist role where your PCP will have to deliver suggested services absolving the Pain Center from any accountability or responsibilty for your care. Ugh!
