Dr Fairborn was dismissive about my serious eye injury and symptoms. I made a huge mistake by trusting him. I should have gotten a second opinion with an actual retinal specialist.

I have a very, very painful medical condition with my eyes. They are very swollen, red, light sensitive with my eyelids turning outward exposing inner eyelids. I am also blind in one eye. I went to northside vision specifically for a 'medical exam' of my eyes. I made this very clear however they insisted a 'eye examine' was necessary before dr. fairborn would address the 'medical exam'. After the 'eye examine' was completed dr. fairborn said he wasn't going to do the 'medical exam' because my insurance would not cover same. Even though i said i would pay out of pocket fairborn would not do the exam. It was very obvious i was having a difficult time he would offer NO HELP to ease the condition, not even to relieve the swelling. He quoted either $600 or $950 to fix this medical condition, even though it was not diagnosed. I feel he was not only unfair but also exceedingly uncaring and very insensitive to my situation. i pray i will not go blind. Just plain mean!

dr. fairborn and his team were amazing! i had an issue with my insurance at my first appointment but the receptionist went above & beyond to get it figured out. they were all so helpful & thoroughly explained why i was being charged what i was being charged. the wait for my glasses to come in WAS a little bit longer than expected but SO worth the wait!
10/10 recommend
