Cheryl Sexton, LMFT

Went to Cheryl once years ago and to her credit it was the first time my spouse felt comfortable but it was all very surface level issues. Went back a few weeks ago and it's not the same person. Total lack of empathy and she accused my child and I of triangulation against my wife, but my wife is who saw her first...on to the best part, she has zero training in neurodivergence and now acts completely arrogant and not someone I would ever recommend. Best example is after she said that I said to her that's out of bounds so to assure you that's not happening I'll step out and hopefully you can address these issues with them directly. As I am getting up to excuse myself she says, you know what, you need to get out. Keep in mind no one raised their voice at her, my child was suicidal and spiralled after, self blaming and what could have easily moved to self harm. The Cheryl I knew before was kind and warm so this whole experience shook me. We now have someone better, keep searching.

Before finding Cheryl I was really concerned about finding a therapist that would understand my needs and specific struggles. She has been a true gift in my life. The strategies we have come up with have been the most helpful. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude for her.

I highly recommend Cheryl. Really helped me with marriage issues way beyond what I expected. Helped me see from my wifes points of view some of the problems we were facing and helped us improve our marriage.

After patiently waiting a month to see Ms. Sexton for my family's first counselling session, she cancelled our appointment. No courtesy notification, or any warning. She offered the time to someone else, because I wasn't fast enough with the paperwork she requires. So, if you're a new patient be prepared. She might cancel your appointment with no warning. Now, I have to go through the entire process all over again during a family crisis. Don't waste your time with Cheryl Sexton!
