Dr. Cheryl Laflame, PSY.D

I worked with Dr. LaFlame for about a year as I was dealing with a major life transition and a tremendous amount of grief. I've been lucky to have worked with a couple skilled therapists in my life, but I did my deepest and most profound work with Dr. LaFlame. She demonstrated great empathy and objectivity and asked wonderfully insightful questions that challenged me in a way to move me forward. And she also showed tough love and called "bullsh*t" when I wasn't being honest with myself or her. She held space for me to do "my work" and helped me learn how to hold space for myself. I'll forever be grateful for her guidance. Choosing a therapist is a very personal decision, and not every therapist is a good fit for everyone. For me, Dr. LaFlame was a perfect fit, and I would recommend her without reservation.

Dr. LaFlame, guided me through major, extreme family difficulty. I have gained life skills enabling me to see light and strength when I thought there was none. Dr. LaFlame and I worked as a team. Easy to talk to, what stands out about her eclectic approach, are the concrete, applicable tools that I continue to use when circumstances are challenging.

Dr. Laflame is quick to see through tactics to avoid the truth. I love her because she never lets me get away with anything. She calls me out on my lies to myself. She is patient and understanding when necessary, and she has helped me a lot.

Simpky put, Dr. LaFlame is exceptional. I was in a situation where I was suffering from corporate burnout, and had a significant chapter of debilitating depression and anxiety. I can candidly say that I would not be where I am today (stronger than ever!) without the steady and wise therapy of Dr. LaFlame. I recommend her without hesitation.
