Very Poor Experience
My PCP quit accepting my insurance, so I had to find another office to simply prescribe my anti-depressant medication. I found this practice. I was clear to state my specific needs over the phone and was led to believe there wouldn't be any issues. Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of being seen by Ms. Herman, who treated me like the scum of the Earth. She refused to address my presenting concern and instead chose to berate me about my weight the entire visit. After ten minutes of solely weight-related questions, she rudely demanded I pull my pant legs up so she could check for swollen legs, as she assumed since I'm overweight, I must have edema. She actually seemed disappointed to discover that my legs are normal. She then refused to disclose my blood pressure results and only did so after being pressed. To top it off, she refused to prescribe my medication, which was the whole reason I went. So, I wasted a $20 copay to be told I'm fat. Thanks, that was extremely productive.

Disappointed
I usually like dealing with PAs because they seem to take more time with you. I felt she talked down to me and was very curt. I was really uncomfortable and came home in tears. Definitely changing practices after that. I do not normally even rate because I work in health care and I understand the stresses and problems. I keep expectations low. But I am very disappointed so even though I am just another patient, I will not be her patient again.

i transferred from another PCP, with prescriptions i have been taking for 8+ years. she said she usually does not prescribe one that i am on, despite it being a very low dose as needed. she came around to prescribing it and i agreed to go from 2 a day to 1 a day. i pick up my prescription and i have 15 pills. i call in to question and i was told that was thought of as appropriate. i let it go and struggle to maintain. called it in this month along w my other med, and it was not refilled despite it being an appropriate time to refill. i am very disappointed and this is unethical to put someones mental health at risk who was previously stable. if she didn’t feel comfortable prescribing my routine medication that should have been said blatantly, up front. i would have accepted that as her personal choice as a dr and moved on. do not go to for mental health.
