Today, it's six months since my open heart surgery. When I think back about that experience, some hard times are remembered and then, there's Cheryl Green, P.A. All the nurses, surgeons, doctors were outstanding, masters at their craft. Nurse Green stands out in my memory. Why? She exuded confidence and ability. She somehow shared those qualities and made me feel everything would soon be alright. When I first met her, it was six days after surgery, still in bandages and suffering from Hospital Delirium. I had been thru terrible hallucinations the night of surgery. Saw my own death. My five days in ICU was no fun. Finally down in intermediate care, Nurse Green visited with Dr. Kirshner (surgeon). Chart studied, interview, conversations, it was determined what needed to be done. Green took charge. Chest incision bandages immediately removed. Hospital Delirium confirmed. Green fast tracked my discharge. Within 24 hours delirium gone. Thank You! Cheryl Green, P.A. Top professional.
