Dr. Charlena Sears, PSY.D

She caused more trauma then she fixed. I sought out therapy through my lawyer who referred me to her after being sexually assaulted at work. She stated she would help through the process including court. She then refused to even write a report (after months of trying to reach her) although she was being paid. She never got back to my lawyers. She was always late and hard to reach. As I seek justice for real trauma, she has made it even more difficult simply because she doesn’t care to answer or participate. she has zero to no records of our numerous sessions. I regret going to her as she has not only hindered my legal case but has been more detrimental to my mental health and healing.

Tried booking a appointment with her and once she realized i was paying out of pocket and inquiring about a sliding scale fee she was very dismissive, she said “i know that you have a directory in front of you. You can keep trying”. What a therapist. Would not recommend.

I called this doctor to schedule an appointment. she called the following day to immediately ask for my insurance and personal information. She said would call back. She called back to provide me with names of other providers. She was denying me service for no reason. My insurance paid at 100% and she is in our network. She states she couldn't get through to the provider services number and so didn't want to take a chance. I placed a complaint with our provider services for this doctor. terrible

Dr. Sears is a wonderful listener who explains things with kindness, interest, and clarity. I'm appreciative of her help and advice.

Caring compassionate and extremely good child and family therapist

There are few things as hurtful & damaging as opening up your soul to someone only to have them make you feel as insignificant as dirt. I don't have much space to write so to put it briefly, she was late to our appointment almost every week, & a few times forgot to show up all together. Even worse, when I called to ask if she was coming to our appointment, she forgot my name. I had been seeing her for almost 2 months. Pretty clear indication that I meant no more to her than a weekly check.
