I had to fight with her to get her to believe something was very wrong with me. She kept brushing off my symptoms as "normal". I kept telling her I knew my body; I knew they weren't normal. As it turns out, I have a serious, life-threatening autoimmune condition. Had I continued with her "wait and see" advice and caved to her pushback, I still wouldn't be diagnosed.
