Dr. Carol Merritt, OD

Dr Merritt is wonderful very patient but her staff is horrible and very unprofessional. The staff does not pass concerns on to Dr. Merritt and they never check insurance but always say you are totally responsible to pay for glasses or contacts but does NOT check insurance and want to dismiss you when you say my insurance, they stop listening. You have to call your insurance and bring evidence that your insurance pays a portion of the cost. They finally ordered my contacts and instead of the $259 I only had to pay $59. I ended up paying last year for something I should not have paid but they would never pass the message for Dr. Merritt to call me. Just rude!!!!!!!!!

Dr Merritt is thorough, not rushed, discusses situation about my eyes to my understanding, she’s courteous, answers my questions, offers suggestions tailored for me and very well qualified in her field. The staff is courteous and helpful and answered questions to my satisfaction. Assisted in choosing the right glasses for me. Wait time was minimal. I definitely recommend Dr. Merritt for all your Optometry needs. I also have several other family members who use Regina Johnson her services.

Horrible the wait time is atrocious. My appointment was at 3 and I wasn’t even seen to well after 4 something. They also tend to overbook .Her staff is very rude and you can hardly get someone on the phone to answer a question.

Trying to get answers regarding glasses and their fitness is next to impossible. She is never in the office enough and her staff are very impolite.
