I saw Carlie at at UCSF Urgent Care for shoulder pain. The first words I remember her saying was, ''I'm going to take care of you.'' And she did exactly that! I work in healthcare and also have had my fair share of navigating the healthcare system for my own care - and Carlie has the qualities anyone could hope for in a physician. She is a SHARP DIAGNOSTICIAN, a quality honed through attentive listening, care, curiosity, and knowledge. She not only diagnosed me with frozen shoulder, she also suspected a labral tear because of my pain level. She did thorough exams, sent me for x-rays, then ordered an MRI and made referrals to orthopedics. When I met with the orthopedic surgeon, he scoffed at why an MRI was even ordered. When the MRI results came back, it indeed showed a labral tear amongst other findings. Most of all - Carlie is efficient — she conveys warmth, examines and diagnoses, and follows through with ease — all within an overburdened healthcare system.
