Unresponsive and uncaring!
No concern for patient care! I had an incidental finding on a chest CT from Mayo and was told to follow up with my PCP. Candace couldn't order followup imaging without the chest CT, no problem...or so I thought. I had Mayo send the imaging in Jan. and I made several followup communications on the portal to find out the status. I was told it could take a month so I waited and then more followup via the portal where I was told they didn't have it, but Mayo confirmed they sent it. Now it is March and was told 'we only got a chest CT' and they got it in JANUARY! I explained AGAIN it was an incidental finding on the chest CT...heard NOTHING. Explained I was worried and needed followup ....NOTHING. I went to the office to get my chest CT disc and they couldn't find it!! Fed up, I got a new Dr. who ordered imaging immediately, a new disc from Mayo took 1 wk, had a dx US and need a biopsy. This practice is unresponsive to patient concerns and totally dropped the ball on me. Look elsewhere!

Arrogant and unprofessional
My Mom has some mental health issues and had seen this Nurse Practitioner in the past, I went with her to have a uncomfortable but needed discussion. I was looking for help, and Ms. Napier turned the whole sensitive situation into an awkward moment, made Mom feel foolish, and she belittled me. She refused to listen and continued to bad mouth my Moms cardiologist as she said “I know more than him” Ms Napier had no idea that her patient was previously in hospital with difib and was annoyed when I tried to give some history. My mom’s memory is the not the best anymore and this women said She won’t test her or give referral until she asks for it herself. How many patience ask to be tested for Cognitive disorders? my mom doesn’t know to put matching shoes on, or her clothes on inside out or forgets pants, chooses to get lost 5 minutes from home ? Ms. Napier was rude, arrogant and disrespectful. I learned there is nothing I can do, and that she has horrible reviews from many others.

I really connected with Ms. Napier at first. When United health care did not carry her I switched over to Banner so I could see her. I have tried to get one prescription filled for 14 days now. The last meeting I had with her I was left feeling less than stellar. Switched to a Family MD closer and not in a hospital environment.

My encounter started with her ignorance questioning the existence of a medication I am taking. Apparently she is unaware of the existence of a compound pharmacist!!! Then, because I didn’t mark off any history on the form that said, “mark all that apply”, none of them did, she handed me back the form and told me it was incomplete. I showed her that it was complete and showed her the instructions that clearly state, “mark all that apply”. She then told me she needed me to mark N/A to all the ones that didn’t apply so she could complete my health history. I said no, and she replied, “we’re not going to get along, are we”. I agreed and left!!! What a waste of my time!

Poor communicator
Candace Napier could take more time putting herself in her patient’s shoes. I think she is unaware of how she comes across or maybe just doesn’t care. Anyway, I don’t want to go into depth on the situation, but I experienced 3 different times of ineptness and 3 strikes you’re out!

Rudest person I have ever met! Did not introduce herself when she entered the room. Very condescending. Thinks she knows everything about a patient, but doesn’t take the time to listen to what the patient is saying. I have been taking a medication for over 20 years, but she refused to prescribe it because it is “addictive“. I explained I only used medicine “as needed” basis and a 30 day supply lasts me 3-6 months. She said she didn’t care, she still would not give me a prescription! Will not be going back again!

I find the Candace is very condescending and has no respect for her patients. I have felt this way for many years and have finally made the decision to change doctors just in case I actually get sick. She always says she will follow up or leave me the information that I need but that has yet to happen.

I have been a patient of Candace's since I moved to AZ 16 years ago. I adore her. She has a dry sense of humor and is extremely knowledgeable and caring. She is diligent about referring to a specialist if she feels your issue is out of her purview.

She is on the cold side. I have been requesting for 2 weeks to have my prescription renewed. Called 2 times to the Walgreens at the medical center and they have called candaces office 4-5 times to get approval to refill prescription. I have mad two trips to Walgreens and 2 calls to candaces office plus two visits to her office where receptionist promised it would get handled.
