I went to the hospital with a horrendous migraine, nausea, vertigo, and numbness. Burke said I had a headache and gave me anti-nausea meds and said I couldn’t get pain meds without a pregnancy test. I was told that this was all hormonal because my period was coming up. Still I was required to take the pregnancy test. Several hours later, I stumbled to the bathroom and gave a urine sample. It still took an hour for someone to get the sample. Once they saw I wasn’t pregnant, I finally got some pain meds. The entire time I was left in a dark room to basically sleep it off. They let me go home 6 hours after I arrived. I was in horrible shape and spent the next week in agony. A week later it was discovered, (by a different doctor), that I’d actually had a stroke. Burke missed this completely and I suffered for it.
